Company profile

Always the right solution

Fixing systems are the largest division of the fischer Group of Companies with a share in sales of approximately 75 per cent. The specialist for secure and economic fixings and connections in the construction industry has firmly established itself as one of the market leaders over the course of almost seven decades. In addition to steel anchors, plastic plugs and chemical systems the range of products also includes a wide variety of screws. Whether it be heavy-duty fixings for professionals or wall and cavity fixings for DIYers: fischer provides the right solution for any fixing problem.

The company’s range of product comprises more than 15,000 items, including numerous fixing and service solutions specifically for the roof and timber construction industry. fischer offers a wide range of screws, among other things, which is regularly expanded through new product additions. Depending on the variant, construction screws with full or partial threads (Power-Full and Power-Fast) are particularly well suited for supporting wood constructions, reinforcements and renovations, wood frame and post construction, outdoor use, installing rooftop insulation systems and much more. There are also the high-performance concrete screws ULTRACUT FBS II that are easy to install and can be used for beam, purlin and sill anchorings in wooden construction, among other things. The fischer DUO-Line, which consists of intelligent anchors with an innovative combination of materials and multiple functional
principles, also caters to various applications and construction materials. fischer’s range of frame fixings has also proved itself in roof and timber construction. Thanks to its sophisticated geometry and multiple anchorage depths the fischer SXRL is suitable for many different applications, including facade substructures and suspended ceilings, in all construction materials while achieving higher values than comparable frame fixings. Its good handling properties are another advantage of the SXRL. The bolt anchor FAZ II provides high shear and tensile load capacities in addition to a wide range of applications with variable anchorage depths in accordance with the European Technical Assessment (ETA) and is often used by carpenters and wood constructors. The bolt anchor is also available in a 6 mm diameter variant for cracked concrete and the FAZ II H variant with a cup nut.

fischer develops and manufactures its own products, primarily in Germany. With its comprehensive range of services the company offers its customers individual support ranging from planning and on-site implementation to developing custom solutions. Simplified installation processes, free and intuitive plug-finder apps for DIYers and professionals, construction and design software as well as comprehensive training sessions in the fischer academy complement the company’s allencompassing customer service centred around product diversity. The WOOD-FIX module of fischer’s design and construction software FIXPERIENCE allows the quick and simple calculation of wood construction applications with fischer products, for instance, and is based on the corresponding European Technical Assessment (ETA) as well as Eurocode 5 with the National Annex.

The workforce of the fischer Group of Companies files 20 times more patents per employee than the average of the German economy. Around 15.5 million fixing products are sold every day, that’s 11,000 per minute and 180 per second. fischer also has the most European Technical Assessments and General Technical Approvals throughout Europe. In 2018 the fischer Group of Companies generated a turnover of 864 million euro with around 5,200 members of staff. The family business is represented by 47 subsidiaries in 35 countries and exports to over 100 countries. In addition to fischer fixing systems it also comprises the fischer automotive systems, fischertechnik, fischer Consulting and LNT Automation divisions.
